Our colleagues in Education at the Stratford Festival have kindly offered to host the third and final mini-conference of the 2012/2013 season!
Tuesday, May 21, 2013
Discovery Centre (across from the Festival Theatre)
10:30 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m. – Mini-Conference: The Questions of Cultural Appropriation in Arts Education
Facilitated by charles smith – CPAMO (Cultural Pluralism in the Arts Movement Ontario) Project Leader – this session will begin an informal dialogue about cultural representation and appropriation within our work in schools and communities. We are often met with questions and uncertainties as artist educators and arts education administrators about how we explore and exploit practices from many cultures. This is our opportunity to share our experiences and begin a common understanding.
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. – lunch, generously provided by the Stratford Festival
2 p.m. – The Three Musketeers presented by the Stratford Festival
