More about the show:

Bessie and Dora nominee, Hari Krishnan, co-creates an evening of solos and ensemble work in collaboration with guest choreographers Sean Curran (New York City), David Brick (Philadelphia), and and Jay Hirabayashi (Vancouver), with a commissioned world music score by Niraj Chag (UK).

Holy Cow(s)! run rampant, toppling taboos of gender, identity, sexuality and cultural (mis)appropriation, provoking desire and derision through humor and eroticism infused, confused and diffused via a global dance lens.

Complementary Throwdown Collective DanceWorks tickets for PAONE members

Throwdown

PAONE is thrilled to announce five complementary DanceWorks matinee tickets for its participants and members.

Throwdown Collective (presented by DanceWorks)
Friday, February 10, 2017 at 12:30pm
Harbourfront Centre Theatre, 235 Queens Quay W, Toronto

If you’re interested in a ticket, please RSVP to info@paone.ca by noon on Monday, February 6. 2017.

More about the show:

Comprised of Toronto dance artists Zhenya Cerneacov, Mairéad Filgate, and Brodie Stevenson, Throwdown Collective will perform two trios: the world premiere of Ylem (3 Eggs Ago) commissioned from Montreal choreographer Lina Cruz, and the Collective’s own creation, Various Concert.

Throwdown Collective is a trio of accomplished dance artists who have forged an intimate and highly productive working relationship. With Cruz, they have developed a mutual respect and joyous spirit of cooperation. Cruz’s piece will create a potent counterpoint to the fluid and changing dynamic of Various Concert, which plays with the tension of partnering, weight sharing, and manipulation.
