Performing Arts Education Overview (PAEO) – Workshop III – May 29, 2012

Measuring What Counts…

The third and final workshop part of the first phase of activities surrounding the Performing Arts Education Overview (PAEO) focuses on evaluation and assessment.

How do we evaluate the effectiveness and quality of our programs? What are some proven and successful evaluation strategies and tools? To whom and how do we communicate the results? What do we do with the outcomes of our research?

Join a discussion of how professional arts organizations can more effectively communicate their impact on the community and strengthen our position with school boards, funders, policy makers and other key stakeholders.

Centre for Social Innovation – Alterna Room, 4th floor

How do you define a great arts education program? How do you measure its success? Who are the leaders in designing and running successful arts education programs?  How do we capture best practices in the field?

As arts education becomes an essential part of the work of arts organizations the need to answer these and other questions about best practices is on the forefront.

Join leading arts education programmers, advocates, academics and arts practitioners, including Jason Van Eyk (Executive Director, ArtsSmarts), Dr. Kathleen Gallagher (OISE, U of T), Nicole Fougère (Learning Through the Arts) and Jessica Dargo Caplan (Luminato) in a discussion on current best practices in creating, implementing, delivering and evaluating successful arts education and outreach programs.

To RSVP: Send your name, job title, name of organization, and contact information (email and phone number) to paonearts@gmail.com  by Friday, March 23, 2012.
